In order to have a good counseling experience you need to feel comfortable about your therapist. You need to find the right fit, but also have some appreciation for differences as they can enhance the counseling process. Let me tell you a little about myself.  

I know what it's like to work hard through physical labor as well as to be mentally taxed in a corporate setting. I know what its like to work as an individual contributor and what its like to manage people and resources.

I know what it's like to return to school at an older age seeking different opportunities and wrestling with self-doubt. I know what its like to challenge limitations, experience the crisis of belief and enjoy the success of perseverance.

I know what it's like in good times and bad, married for over 30 years. My wife and I have not been perfect and have had our own struggles and trails, but work at it and thankful for all we've had and hope to have. I've experienced the miraculous birth of children...times 3. I've enjoyed the wonderment of their perspective and the "pull your hair out" frustrations of raising them.

I know what it's like to lose and to experience loss, the grief associated with what was and might have been. I've experienced the heartache of lost jobs and lost relationships, the inability to make right when a parent or loved one passes on. I know the regret of choices and I know what it is to fear. I'm also thankful for experiences of love, forgiveness, and renewal.

I'm proud to be a Texan, a laborer, a student, a professional, a husband, a father, and a friend. I've had struggles as well as great success. My experience combined with my education make me uniquely qualified to help you find your WAY.
